About Me

Hi, I’m Sophie. I’m a writer, certified coach, and podcast host.

Life is short, everything really is another f*cking growth opportunity, and pretending is exhausting.

There’s no way to talk about the work I do without acknowledging that I lived through my own season of loss. A lot fell apart at once, and doing the hard work of putting myself back together in a way that was truer, braver, and less self-abandoning is what informs everything I do now. What I do isn’t theoretical, and I didn’t study transformation from the sidelines. I get it. I lived it.

So I explore the things I lived through: how we grow, how we grieve, and how the two shape each other. I write about change, identity, people-pleasing, self-trust, desire, and the uncomfortable, liberating process of building a life that actually reflects who you are. My work blends depth and play, vulnerability and irreverence, always with a commitment to honesty, compassion, and clarity.

As a certified coach, I work with people who are outgrowing old versions of themselves. I support them through periods of transition, help them rebuild self-trust, and to make choices that reflect who they are now.

Before building my creative and coaching practices, I spent over a decade as a philanthropic advisor, working with artists, organizers, and cultural leaders to raise and direct millions of dollars toward gender and racial equity, climate justice, democracy, and community care. My work has appeared in TIME, Teen Vogue, Billboard, Bustle, and The Hollywood Reporter, and across the platforms of artists including Hailey and Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, and Demi Lovato.

I live in Los Angeles, spend as much time in New York and Paris as possible, love to read and giggle, and believe wholeheartedly in the healing power of a warm body of water. I’m a proud graduate of Barnard College.
